Old before our time

So we have a small confession to make. We seem to have skipped the first 30/40 odd years of marriage and have skipped straight to retirement...We have been National Trust members since July and are unashamed lovers of it!!!!

We have paid our small annual fee and since that time have more than got our moneys worth!!! Whether it sunshine (rarely so...come on now...it's Britain) or rain, if we have a free day, out comes our little book and we select somewhere on the map we haven't been and off we go....for freeeeeeeeeee!!!

What's more, we have found ourselves in the following old couple pattern:-
Stage 1- looking at the map of the UK, pinpointing somewhere we haven't been before (which unfortunately is most of the UK)
Stage 2- we book a cheap hotel room
Stage 3- whip out the National Trust map and pick out the places of interest we are going to exploit for free entry
Stage 4- pack our funky little picnic cool bag (possibly one of the most exciting purchases of the year so far next to Tallulah...I'm sad I know) ]
Stage 5- Turn up, gloat to ourselves and feel good when we add up how much we have saved on entrance fees and snap away with the camera :D

You will be forgiven for thinking that you were reading the pattern of an old married couple, but what can we say...we are suckers for cheap (free) entertainment and travelling. hehe x

Newest Family Member

It was sadly time to say farewell to Delilah, my old car, and to put her into retirement. She served me well throughout my time at uni where we had a lot of fun together, and has also served Jason well for 8 months. However, it was time to reward her good service and send her to the car retirement home where all old cars go and have hot chocolate with marshmallows. We love you Delilah!!!!
Enter in our newest family member....meet Tallulah! She is very nippy and just LOVE LOVE LOVES the environment being all eco friendly. I've got to say as much as I loved Delilah, it is AMAZING to drive without feeling like you are driving a tank and having your shoulders ripped out of place due to lack of powered steering. Tallulah blesses us with pain free driving and a smooth quiet drive without the worry of whether we will actually reach our destination or not!

We are so blessed and are very thankful for our new little Tallulah!
